Rajasthan is the India's largest state by area, spanning about 342,239 sq. km (34 million hectares). Rajasthan borders Punjab to the north, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, and Gujarat to the southwest.
Strong cultural significance of agriculture and high diversity of crops place Rajasthan at the forefront of agricultural states in India. The State has 14.14% of India's cultivable land which accounts for 25.5 million hectares. It contributes significantly to India's agri-exports of spices and other agri-products.
